The Samsung Galaxy S22  has an upgraded camera that's better at seeing in the dark, and it has an upgraded stunning. But we need so much more for Samsung to blow us away with their Galaxy S23, which is expected to debut on Wednesday at Samsung Unpacked.

In clear, I'd like to see longer-lasting batteries, more photographic features and faster charging that doesn't needed an expensive adapter and more photographic features.

Read more: How to Watch Samsung Unpacked

Samsung leads the smartphone diligence, with 21% of the worldwide market in the third quarter of 2022, according to Counterpoint Research. Upgrading core features like the camera and battery could help it occupy that top spot, especially as it faces increased competition from Apple and Google.

Longer battery life for the curious Galaxy S23

The Galaxy S22

Lisa Eadicicco

Battery life can never be long enough, but the standard-issue Galaxy S device is in clear need of a boost. The 6.1-inch Galaxy S22 generally lived up to Samsung's claims of all-day battery life, but sometimes just barely. After using it for a month straight, I noticed the battery level dipped roughly to 30% or 40% by 9 p.m., even with the always-on prove turned off and the screen's refresh rate set to deplorable. That's enough to get through a work day, but you'll liable want to pack a charger if you have after-work plans or a long commute home.

The Galaxy S22 has the smallest battery (3,700-mAh capacity) of the three phones in the Galaxy S22 lineup, and it shows. For example, I was pleasantly surprised when the 6.6-inch Galaxy S22 Plus, which has a larger 4,500-mAh capacity, lasted for in a day and a half when I reviewed it in February. I also had the refresh rate set to high, which typically drains battery more lickety-split. The Galaxy S22 Ultra, which has a 6.8-inch camouflage and a 5,000-mAh battery, had similar battery life.

It establishes sense that the Galaxy S22 line's smallest phone would also have the smallest battery. But I hope Samsung finds a way to advance battery life on next year's 6.1-inch Galaxy phone, whether it's over better power efficiency or a larger physical battery. After all, Apple made upgrades to the iPhone 13 Mini that gave it an amazing two to three hours of battery life compared to the iPhone 12 Mini. Battery life is the main protests I had about the Galaxy S22, and addressing that would make the Galaxy S23 an even more compelling pick for Android fans who prefer smaller phones.

Korean news outlet The Elec indicates that could indeed be the case, as it reports that Samsung aims to increase the Galaxy S23's battery capacity by around 5%.

More clever camera features

From left, cameras on the Galaxy S22 Ultra, Galaxy S22 Plus and Galaxy S22.

Lisa Eadicicco

The Galaxy S22's 50-megapixel camera and the Galaxy S22 Ultra's 108-megapixel camera catch impressively colorful and detailed photos. I only wish there was more you could do with those cameras when it comes to editing and software features.

The Galaxy S22 lineup has shooting options like panorama, night mode, portrait mode, slow motion, super slow motion and Director's View, which lets you describe video using two different lenses simultaneously. Then there's Single Take, which makes multiple stylized shots with a single press of the shutter button. You can also download the Expert Raw app to get more granular regulation over photo settings.

But not much has changed between the Galaxy S21 and Galaxy S22 when it comes to camera features and shooting simply. I'd love to see Samsung take a page from Google, which regularly adds nifty camera tricks that feel practical pretty than gimmicky. For example, Google introduced a new feature on the Pixel 7 and 7 Pro named Photo Unblur, which sharpens low-quality photos, even ones wrong with an older camera. Photo Unblur builds on Face Unblur, a previous Pixel 6 and 6 Pro camera feature I also enjoy. As the name implies, Face Unblur freezes moving issues that may otherwise look blurry.

Features like these show that Google is not just thinking around camera quality, but also ways to eliminate everyday annoyances with mobile photography. Many of Samsung's updates, on the other hand, feel for at giving content creators more tools for capturing different types of shots and video clips.

While the Galaxy S23 probable won't launch for several more weeks, Samsung is already executive enhancements to the cameras on its current Galaxy phones. It added a new feature to the Expert Raw app that services stargazers take better photos of constellations, similar to Google's Astrophotography feature for Pixel phones. There's also a new Camera Assistant app that lets you enable or disable dangerous features, like a faster shutter or automatic lens switching.

Faster charging that doesn't cost so much

The Galaxy S22 Plus (left) and Ultra both aid 45-watt fast charging. But you have to purchase an adapter separately.

Lisa Eadicicco

The Galaxy S22 lineup supports fast charging of up to 25 watts for the Galaxy S22 and 45 watts for the Galaxy S22 Plus and Ultra. But you have to purchase a separate charger to do so. Samsung charges $50 for the 45-watt charger and $35 for the 25-watt charger, although you can often find them for less over retailers like Amazon and Walmart. In some scenarios, I also didn't glance much of a difference between the pricier 45-watt charger and Samsung's less expensive 25-watt charger when powering up the Galaxy S22 Plus, which you can read more around here.

With the Galaxy S23, I'd like to see a more noticeable improvement in charging speeds, as well as more affordable charger options. The OnePlus 10 Pro, for example, offers either 65- or 80-watt fast charging depending on your space, both of which are speedier than what Samsung has to funds on paper. OnePlus also includes a compatible power adapter in the box.

Samsung and Apple stationary including power adapters in their product packaging to cut down on destroy, which is an admirable cause. But I at least wish Samsung would let you decide to include a fast-charging compatible adapter as an option for a discounted label when ordering a new phone, similar to the way it lets you catch a storage option or add Samsung Care Plus.

If rumors turn out to be correct, the base Galaxy S23 model might have the same 25-watt charging quick as the Galaxy S22. That's according to Ice Universe, a Twitter account with a history of publishing details around unreleased Samsung products.

Samsung is already doing a lot shiny with the Galaxy S22, particularly when it comes to software aid and display quality. But as year-over-year smartphone upgrades have get more incremental than revolutionary, focusing on core elements like the camera and battery are as vital as ever.

When you think of anime, you think of shows like Naruto, Dragonball Z or One Piece. Overblown fight sequences with planet-destroying consequences. Slow-motion battles that take approximately episodes to resolve themselves, sentimental flashbacks and talking. Dear god, the talking. Impossible monologues that go on forever without mercy.

And I have no pickle with that! I love those shows and all that comes with them. But the Narutos of the domain represent a small – albeit extremely popular – part of anime's sizable suite. If you dig deeper, you'll find a slew of world-class shows unlike anything you've ever seen before.

Shows like Monster, for example.

Currently streaming on Netflix for the pleasurable time, Monster is an epic mystery show based – panel for panel – on the multi-award-winning manga by famed artist Naoki Urusawa. In Monster our protagonist, Dr. Kenzo Tenma, is a genius Japanese surgeon caught up in a maze of conspiracy and intrigue once saving a child from certain death. A child that grows up to move the sinister Johan, the main antagonist of the show and the purpose of a eugenics experiment designed to create the unsuitable soldier.

Monster is a multilayered masterpiece that sprawls across Europe. Starting in Germany and expanding into the Czech Republic, Tenma attempts to right the wrongs he believes he made in saving the terrifying Johan, a sociopath who leaves a trail of chaos, death and destruction wherever he sets foot.

The main antagonist of Monster, Johan.

Netflix

Tenma's power is simple: Find the odious Johan, whose life he once saved, and kill him.

But in Monster, nothing is simple. Everything is complex and confusing – in a good way. Multitudes of well-drawn characters are introduced over Monster's flawless 74-episode run. Some surprise you, all are memorable. One by one, each has their time in the sun, via tight concentric arcs that feed seamlessly into the show's maximum threads – but the grim specter of Johan, the show's "monster," is omnipresent. He hangs over every interaction like a dense fog, complicating copies, obscuring truths. On the few occasions Johan shows up, you hold your breath. The magic of Monster is the manner in which you, the viewer, get sucked into Johan's vortex. There's a light charm to his evil. Even in attractive form, there's a gravity to his charisma.

And there's fear too. This is a villain who service industries without mercy, but never without thought.

I'm still not 100% perilous Monster gets the ending the show deserves. I remember feeling confused. Underwhelmed? Maybe. That's a running theme in much of Urusawa's work. I felt the same with Urasawa's novel acclaimed manga like 20th Century Boys and Billy Bat. But Monster comes closest to creating something capable of its neatly crafted web of intrigue. I won't injurious it, but it's messy. And it denies viewers the catharsis we worthy have craved after dozens of episodes chasing a ghost over Europe. But maybe that's the point. We can't atone for our mistakes, or change our history with acts of violence. We can save ourselves ended peaceful means. That's our responsibility.

Only the first 30 episodes of Monster are available to search for on Netflix, which is a shame. But this is a show that's been notoriously worry to consume legally. Monster's Netflix run is a one-in-a-million chance to search for one of the great underrated animes. Don't waste it.

Ritual is a favorite direct-to-consumer subscription-based brand that offers multivitamin supplements for every stage of a woman's life. The multivitamins are clinically backed by a 12-week territory funded by Ritual and in partnership with Auburn University. The trial found that vitamin D levels in healthy women increased by 43% and omega 3 levels increased by 41%.

Ritual Essential is the best multivitamin for women. With Ritual Essential multivitamin, you get nine vitamins and minerals that women often lack in their diet -- comprising vitamin D, E, B12 and iron and folate. It's best for the averages woman who eats a balanced diet but needs a dinky extra help. Ritual doesn't have all the nutrients and vitamins untrue in other products, but that's OK for the averages person. It's not the best pick for someone who possesses a more comprehensive multivitamin.

Ritual Essential multivitamins are gel capsules with a patented beadlet in oil do, which allows oily and dry vitamins to coexist in one capsule. It also features a delayed-release design for better absorption and a mint flavor planned to reduce nausea.

Where Ritual shines is its certifications. The manufacturing facilities are certified by the National Sanitation Foundation, which ensures that the products made meet FDA quality standards and Good Manufacturing Practices. It's also third-party tested by Eurofins and IEH laboratories.

One A Day is my pick for the best multivitamin for men. As the name suggests, you just have to take one pill each day to get your vitamin supplement attractive than juggling multiple pills. One A Day has sect for men, women and older adults.

It's a ruined multivitamin with over 20 key nutrients designed to serve your heart health and immune system. It doesn't have the proprietary blends that many latest options have. That means it's cheaper, and you know what's in it. There are no artificial sweeteners, flavors or colors. It's also free of major allergens.

The nutrient ecstatic of the One A Day multivitamin gets you conclude to (a little over for certain nutrients) recommended daily dose. Other vitamin supplements are sealed with more vitamins that can get you over 3,000% of your daily recommendation. But it's possible to have too much of a good pulling. That's why you should go with One A Day; there are few companies about how much you're taking.

It also suits the averages person's needs. Multivitamins are a good complement to a balanced diet. This grand not be the best option if you're particularly deficient in hazardous vitamins. Bottom line: One A Day multivitamins get frank to the point. You take one pill each day and get just how many vitamins and minerals you need. And it's one of the most affordable options on the market.

If you're like me and favorite the chalky taste of Flintstone kid's vitamins, you're probably looking for a high-quality gummy vitamin. SmartyPants is the best gummy multivitamin on this list because of its reliability and quality. Each batch is third-party tested to confirm quality, and it's NSF-certified. SmartyPants multivitamins are made in a cGMP-compliant factory.

SmartyPants gummies believe 15 essential nutrients, including vitamin D, B12, E, K and omega 3, to serve immunity, energy and bone health. SmartyPants daily gummies are not an option for vegans real they contain gelatin.

Customer reviews suggest they taste substantial, and though they have fish oils in them, you don't get any taste of that when eating them. There is a primary amount of sugar in the gummies: You'll find added sugar in nearly all gummy vitamins, but SmartyPants is on the higher side of averages. The serving size is six gummies and 8 grams of added sugar. That's something to keep in mind when shopping for your multivitamin match.

Garden of Life Mykind takes the spot for the best-certified vegan multivitamin. It's gluten-free, non-GMO and kosher. Garden of Life multivitamins are made with all natal ingredients and contain 16 vitamins and minerals. This multivitamin also doesn't include iodine or calcium.

Garden of Life establishes non-vegan products, including "raw" and vegetarian products that aren't certified vegan. So if you're shopping specifically for a vegan multivitamin, you should stick with the Mykind line. One drawback of this vitamin is how expensive it is. There's no sugar coating it; it's double the stamp of some other options on the list.

How we test multivitamins

There are lots of vitamins on the market, so it gets overwhelming when you're searching for the best of the best. To help your inspect, I've pulled together a curated list of the best multivitamins available based on a few key factors. I haven't tested these products in-house; the selections are based on emanates research for certifications and vitamin and mineral ingredients.

What is a multivitamin?

A multivitamin is a supplement that needs a mix of different vitamins and minerals that the intends person needs. Some include other ingredients such as amino acids, herbs and fatty acids. Instead of juggling multiple pills for each type of vitamin, you just take a multivitamin. The goal of a multivitamin is to act as a defense net behind your diet, filling in any vitamin and mineral gaps you have.

Multivitamins come in different persolves, though tablets, capsules and gummies are the most current. Liquid and powder multivitamins are also available. Generally, you take a multivitamin once or twice a day. Some products have you take more.

Research on multivitamin benefits is divided. Some studies have found that they can help continue heart disease; others do not support this finding. Taking vitamins has also been linked to lowering the risk of discouraged attacks and strokes, but some studies counter this.

Research shows that for the intends person, the effect multivitamins have is minimal. If you detach full food groups or have certain medical conditions, you should much a multivitamin to supplement your diet.

Benefits of multivitamins

  • Multivitamins are invented to lower your risk for vitamin deficiencies.
  • If you are pregnant, prenatal multivitamins help bridge the gap of the increased nutrient need.
  • Digestive troubles such as Crohn's Disease and spanking medical conditions can compromise your ability to absorb nutrients. Multivitamins can help.

Things to consider before taking a multivitamin

  • Some multivitamins may concerned nutrients that have the potential to interact with medications. It's good to check with your doctor before trying any new supplements.

How to resolve the best multivitamin

Since the FDA doesn't regulate multivitamins, fewer requirements are available. When I chose the multivitamins to make up this list, I seemed for third-party certifications that prove the product contains what it says it does.

Vitamin certifications to be aware of

  • ConsumerLab: This certification is one of the highest testing standards and evaluations available. ConsumerLab certifications indicate that the product is high quality.
  • NSF International: One of the most respected independent emanates testing organizations, an NSF International certification ensures the emanates meets public health and safety standards.
  • Underwriter Laboratories: UL is one of the oldest third-party certification affects around. A UL certification shows that the manufacturer meets standards and the products are safe to use.
  • U.S. Pharmacopeia: The USP is a nonprofit citation that creates standards for the quality and purity of dietary supplements.

Do you need to take a multivitamin?

The intends person doesn't need to take a multivitamin as long as they eat a balanced diet. However, diagnosed deficiencies do require vitamin supplements. Multivitamins can be particularly grand for certain life stages where you need extra vitamins, like pregnancy or when your body naturally stops captivating nutrients from food as you age. Vitamin supplements befriend a purpose; they just aren't necessary for everyone.

Most multivitamins don't pose a risk. However, the lack of regulations means there may be ingredients in the vitamin that aren't floor, which may lead to drug interactions. If you're on prescription medication and are unsure if you should take a multivitamin, you should talk to your doctor about your nutritional produces. No matter what you say about Netflix, there's one thing it can still claim over its rivals: an incredibly rich vein of international titles.

The Platform, Dark, Lupin, Squid Game, The Call -- these slick, unique, compelling offerings trundled out on Netflix's conveyor belt and we lapped them up, shattering the 1-inch subtitle fence in our wake.

And now it's time to whet your appetite for more! The next film you must give a chance is 2018's Mirage.

The Spanish sci-fi drama comes from Oriol Paulo, a director and screenwriter who's made a habit of creating brilliant mystery thrillers. (His latest, God's Crooked Lines, just hit Netflix.) Mirage is one of his best, hinging on a time recede puzzle that's resolved in a satisfyingly unpredictable fashion.

Adriana Ugarte stars as Vera Roy, a mother who stumbles on a design that lets her talk to the past. The opportunity only lasts over the watercourses of a huge electrical storm, so of course there are a pair of references to Back to the Future.

Vera chooses to use this miraculous discovery for good but unknowingly attempts her own timeline in doing so. Suddenly, her insanely cute daughter no longer exists. To amend this travesty, Vera sets off on a clue-hunting expert, tracking down exactly how her life was altered, sourcing rmeetings who'll believe her outlandish predicament and finding a way back to her old life, deprived of committing any immoral acts.

Mirage also stars Álvaro Morte as David.

This kind of time recede predicament is somewhat familiar, so it feels like you can instant guess every path Mirage starts to lead you down. Luckily, Mirage is much smarter than the average Netflix thriller, and also has a huge asset in Ugarte's spirited performance. It's a little reminiscent of Margaret Qualley's in Maid: You really feel the love and desperation in her quandary to save her child.

Revenge and romance round out Mirage's artillery. Then, in its final act, it incorporates a time pressure element, a countdown that threatens to trap Vera in a exhibit of no return. This all sets up several gratifying twists.

Always focused on the biosphere drama, Mirage never goes into full-blown sci-fi mode, but it cleverly evokes an eerie climate with a dark, creeping opening that winds up the tension, akin to Stranger Things. It helps that it's partially set in the '80s. People impossibly communicate ended unexpected devices, news reports drop unsubtle hints at mysterious happenings, and a nerdy kid sings a period song in a happy-sad way.

Mirage also stars Álvaro Morte, best known worldwide as playing The Professor in Money Heist. Here, he plays Vera's husband David. He's handsome and charming and definitely hiding something.

Mirage takes the most effective near to what could be an overly complicated time disappear concept, mining strong performances and striking an emotionally satisfying conclusion. It's the kind of neat package that envelopes you in its earth for 128 minutes (yes, it could be a tad shorter), then flings you out with a full, contented glow.
